GOUNCIIA HOLD JOINT INITIATION' Joint initiation of the Knights of Columbus councils of Menomonie, Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire took twenty-five local knights to Chippewa Falls Sunday. The initiates of the three councils numbered seventy-five and their induction into the order was the. occasion for elaborate festivities. Ten of the class were from Menomonie and twenty-five others from here made ihe trip ant enjoyed -the ceremonies and The first degree was conferred at 10 m. and the second and third in the afternoon.

The Chippewa Falls degree team, under the direction nof Grand Knight W. P. Kruse of that city, officiated for the first and second degree and the crack Kenosha teajrf, headed by Walter M. Burke, put on the work for. the third.

The banquet in the evening was a rousing affair. There a fine meal was served and many able speeches were made. The speakers were P. J. Murphy, Otto Lund, D.
